...consider your audience. Twitter to your business clientele differently than you would your buddies near and/or far.
And treat your Twits like gold. Don't overdo it. Make folks happy to receive some valuable info from you.
If you say "see this" with a link as your tweet? Don't. Tell them WHAT the link is...that is, if you really want them to see it. Otherwise, your helpful link may well be perceived as Tweet Trash.

At the risk of sounding old-school, consider whether you should twitter some info by running it through this test: "Would I pick up the phone and CALL many of my followers with this message? If I had to punch 7 buttons on my phone to reach her?" If the answer is no, then perhaps you are overdoing it.

Okay, so, what do YOU think you as a business should be twittering to your clientele? What messages do YOU think build a relationship with those who follow you, and which do you see others using which you wouldn't. Dialogue, please!
