I think we need a
NEW CONTEST.

Who can do the most WONDERFUL and customer-inspiring BTS theme display? Preferably window display, but swing shop, wall display, whatever will work as well.

Enter: by sending me a direct email with 1-3 photos of your artistic display, and any caption, explanation, and your shop info.

Divisions for prizes:
Kids-only.
Women's/teens' or all-family.
Hard goods/ home decor.

Deadline: Photos received by midnight, August 4. (You got 10 days to research, equip, and DO it, then photograph it and SEND it. No digital camera so's you can send it? Find a helpful customer who does have one!)

Judge Kate's decisions will be based on:
* Imagination
* Appropriateness
* Marketability
* Customer appeal
* And if the photos are clear and appealing, even better. ;-)
* Sheer cussedness

Prizes: Who knows? Fame and fortune, of course, but also pats on back, genuine monetary-equivalent stuff, maybe a GC or two. Got a couple of really swell Sharers who've said they'd help "reward" you... Prizes aren't the point: acknowledgment and peer approval is... NOT to mention all the customers with cash who'll appreciate it! I'll figure out something.

Winning entries will be posted at Auntie Kate's Blog with live links to the shop's web site/ e-business card. Select entries will also be put on HowToConsign.com with "Spotlight Shop" status.
